the vision

A city that works,
a city that grows.

With the right leadership, we can unlock our potential.

The vision

We have extraordinary advantages. A beautiful parkland setting, a walkable city centre, world-class festivals, and a reputation for creativity and culture. Few cities begin with the foundations Adelaide already has.

But a city does not thrive on reputation alone. It requires leadership, direction, and a council that is focused on making the city stronger every year.

Today, too many parts of the city are under-performing. Vacant buildings sit unused while businesses struggle to pay their rates. Key areas of the parklands are neglected. Decisions that should be straightforward become bogged down in process and delay. At the same time, the city's finances are under pressure and long-term planning has become increasingly uncertain.

Adelaide should be moving forward with confidence, not paralysed by inaction.
what I am working towards

Six pillars for Adelaide's future

01

A city that is active

Empty buildings brought back into use. Upper floors of heritage buildings re-occupied. Businesses supported, not burdened — hospitality, culture, and tourism thriving.

02

A city centre full of people

More residents living in the city, supporting local businesses, activating our streets, and creating a stronger and more resilient economy.

03

A city that moves

People able to travel into and through the city without unnecessary barriers. Public transport, cycling, walking, and driving all working together.

04

A green city

After our people, the Parklands are Adelaide's greatest asset. Neglected areas revitalised. Activated parks that contribute to both liveability and reputation.

05

Responsible financial management

Transparency, discipline, and a clear focus on delivering value for the community. Ratepayer money that delivers measurable results.

06

A city people are proud of

Adelaide has enormous potential. With the right leadership we can unlock it — and ensure the city grows stronger in the years ahead.

My vision is simple: a city that works, a city that grows, and a city that people are proud to call home.
